The light shaper for special portraits

The Deep Rota Softbox from the Walimex pro Studio Line is a professional light shaper to give portraits that special something and that special touch of light. The 16-cornered and thus almost round Deep Rota Softbox creates beautiful reflections in the eyes of the model and has - due to the deeper construction than normal beauty dishes or flat softboxes - a very special light effect. The flash light arrives at the model even more focused and directional and achieves more depth and a more interesting image effect with at the same time softer and more even illumination.

Ingeniously simple construction

No more uncomfortable handling with bars and individual parts: The new Quick Assemble "QA" softboxes of the Walimex pro Studio Line can be set up very quickly and very easily - according to their name - and of course can be dismantled and stowed away just as quickly after use. The ideal solution not only for photographers who need to make room in the studio quickly after shooting, but also for photographers who want to use the Deep Rota Softbox for outdoor portrait shootings. Folded together and stored in the spacious carrying bag, the complete Deep Rota Softbox including softbox adapter (sold separately for all flash systems), inner and outer diffuser and honeycomb or grid is so compact that it fits into any setup and is always there. To set it up, simply place the folded Softbox on the floor with the Speed Ring / Softbox adapter facing downwards and stretch the Deep Rota Softbox like an umbrella until the holder in the umbrella bar audibly and noticeably clicks into place. Then turn the built up softbox over so that the speed ring is on top and fix the cover on the four longitudinally arranged Velcro strips - so everything is tightly stretched and no unwanted flashlight can escape laterally. The Quick Assemble System rightly bears its name and saves every photographer - whether beginner, amateur or professional - valuable time.

Connection to all flash systems and flash heads

The Deep Rota Softbox can be connected to your flash system or flash heads via a Walimex pro Softbox adapter, which you can purchase separately for all flash systems. The Softbox adapter is then simply placed in the Speed Ring (quick-change bayonet) and fixed with the four screws - and the Deep Rota Softbox is ready for use with your flash head. The Softbox adapter can of course remain mounted for transport in the supplied carrying bag with shoulder strap. Another gimmick: The type of softbox and the size are printed on the various softbox pockets - so the tedious search for the right softbox in the "light shaper store" is finally a thing of the past and you have the right light shaper at hand with a handle.

Diffusors and grid included

In order to be able to use the Deep Rota Softbox for all desired light settings and to be completely free in the modelling of the image, three accessories are included in the standard delivery of the Softbox: Grid or honeycomb, inner diffuser and outer diffuser. The inner diffuser is simply connected to the flaps provided in the middle of the softbox by means of sewn-on Velcro strips. The outside diffuser is attached to the upper end of the softbox with the wide Velcro strip. There is still enough space above to attach the grid or honeycomb. This is quick and gives the photographer more freedom and possibilities to experiment with the various inserts and attachments.
